Gabriel Wright

Over a decade ago there was a young kid in northwest Ohio playing guitar and writing songs in his basement for fun, with no idea of the fantastic journey that music had in store for him. Singer/Songwriter, Gabriel Wright, now lives in Cincinnati, OH where he performs for multiple hours a night weekly, if not daily, pouring his passion and heart out to audiences on some of the biggest and smallest stages in the city. A Singer/Songwriter at heart, Gabriel has achieved the credit cue for his song, “You’re Not Superman,” in the film, “The Third Nail,” starring Huntley Ritter and Charles S. Dutton. And this is just the beginning for the 27-year-old singer/songwriter.
Gabe Wright started playing guitar and writing songs at age 13. But it wasn’t long before he picked up a bass and some drumsticks and began playing all the instruments he needed to complete his musical visions. After high school Gabe attended Berklee College of Music as a songwriting major and eventually graduated in spring 2004 and promptly relocated to Nashville, TN. Gabe Wright recently released his fourth full length CD titled, “Confessions of Love and War.” “Confessions of Love and War” is a rootsy/blues/all acoustic album with deep, dark lyrical themes and transcendental rhythms. “Confessions of Love and War,” was preceded by three other full length CD’s, “This Is Life,” “I’m Not Who I Am” and “If No One Knows My Name.”
Throughout his life, Gabe Wright has played in Rock, Blues, Metal, and Jazz bands, as well as performing as a solo singer/songwriter, throughout Ohio, Kentucky, the New England area, New York city, and Nashville. Gabe has played with musicians from all over the world and was also a faculty member of the National Guitar Workshop, where he spent summers for nine years, teaching students from ages 8 to 80 to play guitar, sing, and write songs.
Presently Gabe Wright is working toward getting more of his songs heard and out into the world, as well as playing more venues and reaching more fans.
